The mailbag is relatively full this month (two letters and something for a guy named "Occupant"), so without further ado let's go to the news.

Carl W. Battle sent along a clipping from the Akron Beacon Journal about a series of lawrelated board games he's developed with three law school classmates. Titles include "Class Action," "Prove It," and "Wedlock." Carl, I'd like to suggest a few additions to your line that I encounter in my practice: "No-Class Action," "Pay It," and "Out-of- Wedlock." Carl's company, National Legal Information Services, also markets books and periodicals designed to help laymen understand legal problems and to reduce misconceptions about legal services. Anyone interested in ordering a game, book, or more information can contact Carl at 2681 Mull Avenue, Akron, OH 44321.

Also on the entrepreneurial scene, column habitue Skip Cummins has left Continental Illinois Bank's venture capital operation to join Vista Ventures of Stamford, Conn., as a special limited partner. Best of luck in your new endeavors, Skip, and beware of chromedomed classmate Tom "I can pedal, but I can't stop" Parnon, as he bikes his way to work in nearby Darien.

Jeff Kirchoff reports from Madison, Wise., that he's settling down as a portfolio manager at a small brokerage house. He's active in the Midwest scow (not cow, Magoo) circuit and is campaigning an "A-scow" with three friends this fall.

Mark M. Weld has been elected a vice president of R.M. Bradley and Company, a Boston-based real estate firm. Mark, who has been in the firm's industrial brokerage division since 1978, lives in Manchester, Mass., with his wife and two sons. Congratulations, Mark.

Pam Kneisel and her sister and two brothers have established a scholarship at the College to aid students planning medical careers. The fund is in honor of their parents, Dr. John and Mrs. Ann H. Kneisel. Dr. Kneisel, now retired, devoted his career to the practice and teaching of vascular surgery. He taught at several medical schools, including the University of Connecticut.

Finally, on the familiar wedding front, Gary Love married Pam Joyner '79 in August at the University of Chicago. Gary is a vp with Dean Witter in New York, whom he joined after receiving an M.B.A. from Northwestern. Pam got her M.B.A. at Harvard and is an associate in Merrill Lynch's Capital Market Group in New York.

As we move toward the holidays, please take time out to drop me a line. The most exciting reading I've had lately was from the airport scale. I stepped on it and it printed out "One at a time, please." Cheers.

Several Dartmouth alumni joined in the celebration of the wedding of Pamela Joijner '79 to Gary Love '76 who were married in August in Chicago.
