Max Eastman, poet, political commentator, and critic, visited Hanover to give a very entertaining lecture on "Why We Laugh." Before him came Theodore Kuehnemann, who delivered the Guernsey Center Moore Foundation lectures this year on the general subject of "Goethe." In addition, and to our mind more important, were the talks given by members of the student body on matters of general interest, E. F. Carter '32 foremost among these. His illustrated lecture on a summer in Mexico was one of the best yet to be given this year. B. E. Martin '33 is conducting a series of weekly orchestral concerts, and drawing very fine audiences.
