Professor Edwin B. Frost, director emeritus of Yerkes Observatory, developed the idea of illuminating the grounds of the World Exposition at Chicago by a captive beam of light from the star Arcturus. He was the principal speaker to address the expectant multitude which witnessed that spectacular event on May 27. His many friends in the radio audience were not only entertained by his story of this wonderful accomplishment but were gratified to hear his voice once more in its old time vigor.
Dr. Henry O. Smith was the chairman of the general committee which put on the program for June 25 to 29 in observance of the two hundredth anniversary of the town of Hudson.
