Registration Figures

Official registration figures released on the opening day of college, September 21, showed a total of 2,334 undergraduates as compared with the figure 2,286 given out at approximately the same time last year. Of this total, 667 are freshmen and 16 are transfers from other colleges, making a total of 683 new students. Late registration is expected to increase the freshman class to about 675 men, which will be an increase of 40 over last year's entering class. Figures for the three upper classes were given out as follows: seniors, 538; juniors, 533; and sophomores 606. This total of 1,667 'or the three upper classes compares with the figure 1,648 announced at this time last year.
