Dartmouth Night
November 1933

Dartmouth Night will be held this year on November 16, and Palaeopitus has arranged, in conjunction with the gathering of Dartmouth groups everywhere, a Hanover celebration that will see the return of many old-time features. The celebration will be held again in Webster Hall, rather than out of doors, and this will prove an ideal setting for the oratory of Dean Laycock, who has agreed to make the main address, as well as for the reading of telegrams which come in from Dartmouth men all over the world. Outdoor celebrations of the past few years have made both speeches and the reading of telegrams difficult.

Palaeopitus purposely chose Thursday night before the Cornell game for Dartmouth Night, so that the occasion would be strictly a Dartmouth affair without the distractions of house party week-end. The usual torchlight parade will make its way to the President's home, where cheers will be given, before the indoor program gets under way.
