Afternoon Session
December 1933

Following luncheon at the University Club, the Council reconvened to listen to its guest speakers. R. C. Strong '24, Director of Admissions, outlined plans for the operation of the Selective Process under the new plan of admission. He also discussed the important place of alumni interviewing of applicants in the process of selecting students for admission. Jackson L. Cannell '19, head coach of football, spoke to the Council, and President Hopkins discussed College problems in detail. Following the President's exceedingly interesting talk, he was asked numerous questions by councilors. He continued to hold everyone's interest until the time for adjournment was at hand when the councilors reluctantly gave up their session with the President, which has traditionally become the most valuable and interesting part of the semiannual meetings.

Mr. and Mrs. Basil O'Connor entertained members of the Council, their wives, and guests, at tea following adjournment of the meeting.
