Mr. Minsch spoke of the loss suffered by the Council in the recent death of Joe Gilman. He then proceeded with the several committee reports, which took the remaining time until adjournment for luncheon at 12:30. Mr. Woods reported for the special committee on Council nominations and elections. The Council gave its tentative approval to his several suggestions concerning redistricting of the country and changes in methods of placing alumni in nomination for vacancies on the Council. A mail ballot on necessary amendments to the constitution will be conducted in advance of the June meeting.

Mr. Sterling, chairman, and Mr. Dickerson, secretary, of the Alumni Fund committee reported to the Council on progress made in planning for the 1934 campaign and on certain aspects of the drive of last spring. The question as to whether or not there will be class quotas this year, as had been true up until the 1933 campaign, will be decided by the committee at a later time in conference with the President of the Council and the President of the College.

Dr. Ruggles stated that the project for the organization of undergraduates interested in rowing was making progress in Hanover and that plans for the creation of an aquatic sports center at Mascoma Lake might be submitted to the Council for approval during the winter or early spring.

Mr. Couch, chairman of the committee on alumni projects, reported that he had been working with the Outing Club on the development of the skiing center at Jobildunk near Mt. Moosilauke. Title to the land is now clear and with the successful campaign for funds being conducted by N. W. Emerson 'oo it appears certain that the D. O. C. will be able to hold championship downhill ski races on the mountain trail this winter and proceed during the year to expand the project into the skiing, hunting, fishing, and hiking resort that is planned for the future.

The final discussion of the meeting centered about a talk by J. C. Landauer '23, secretary of the Dartmouth Club of New York, who reported to the Council on the encouraging progress made by the Club during the past year in increasing its membership and centralizing Dartmouth alumni interest of the metropolitan area.
