We had our last party of the year in the form of a smoker at Selden Smith's home in Berkeley, December 30. Prof. Harold R. Bruce of the faculty of the College flew up from Los Angeles to be with us on that evening, remained at Selden's that night, and returned by plane to Los Angeles the next day. It was a successful party with a good turnout, considering the date on which it had to be arranged. Twenty-six Dartmouth men attended, and they all have great praise for Professor Bruce.
It was a very informal gathering around the fireplace, and everyone entered into the spirit of the discussion in typical Dartmouth manner. Professor Bruce touched on about everything close to the College which is of interest to us located so far from Hanover. He is a worthy representative of "Hoppy," and we hope that he comes again. The following Dartmouth men were present:
Milliken '87, Townsend '94, Smith '97, Swift '98, Leavens '01, Follett '03, Matteson '03, Wentworth '03, Clark '05, Post '05, Wood '08, Bonter '09, Reagan '09, Wilkinson '10, Robie '12, Wilson '13, Robinson '14, Tomfohrde 1l5, Winslow '20, Garfein '21, Townsend '23, Hoffman '26, Smith '26, Clifton '27, Clifton, Colonel, Luten '29.
