There's a question whether it is squash rackets or contract bridge that is causing the most activity around the Club. Many new members have joined the Club for the convenience of playing squash, and they are all giving themselves strenuous workouts.

As for contract bridge, there is plenty of that: every Saturday finds the card room filled (as well as the ping-pong room and the other rooms on the second floor). In fact, any afternoon during the week that you are looking for a game, just drop in the Club.

We are holding our first bridge tournament for members and wives on February 27. The tables will be in the lounge, and we hope any differences of opinion during the game between husband and wife will be thrashed out when the players return home. It's our first attempt at having ladies in the Club, and should there be any quarrels over wrong "bidding" or wrong "leads" we might have to prohibit any further mixed tournaments.

It might be a good idea for some of the bachelor members to come as "kibitzers," and see what they are missing by not having a wife.

Our bedrooms have been filled for some time, and we hope it continues. Kip Chase '30, who has been living at the Club for a long time, is leaving February 20 for China for three years or so, qute a big step for a young lad.

The Club has just invested quite a sum of money in a new drinking fountain and even though prohibition and the depression are still holding on, the Club can boast of being able to serve deliciously cold drinking water.
