Commencement, June 16-20

Advance information regarding the Commencement program to be followed June 16-20 will be mailed shortly to all members of reuning classes, which this year are: 1883 1888 1893 1898 1903 1908 1913 1918 1923 1928

The Fifty Year class, this year the class of 1883, will be the honored group according to custom and will occupy the place of honor at the Commencement luncheon to be given by the trustees to the graduating class and alumni in the gymnasium, Monday noon, June 19. The major events on the Commencement schedule follow:

Friday

June 16 Registration of alumni and arrival of Commencement guests and parents of seniors.

Saturday

June 17 Class Day. Baseball vs. Cornell. Players performance and class dinners in the evening.

Sunday

June 18 Baccalaureate Day. Class picnics and outings in the afternoon. Reception to all Hanover visitors by President and Mrs. Hopkins in the evening.

Monday

June 19 Baseball vs. Cornell in the morning. Commencement luncheon at noon. Concert by Musical Clubs in the evening, followed by the Commencement ball.

Tuesday

June 20 Graduation exercises in the Bema, including the conferring of honorary degrees.

For the second year the colorful exercises climaxing the Commencement season will be held in the Bema, College Park. In case of rain Webster Hall will be available. Concerts by the Dartmouth band will be given throughout the Commencement period, and class reunion events not formally scheduled will be held on each of the days.

Through a special arrangement with the railroads, fare-and-one-half round trip rates have been arranged for those attending Commencement and class reunion activities this year. Identification certificates may be secured from class or club secretaries or upon application to the Secretary of the College, Hanover. The presentation of one of these certificates to local ticket agents entitles the holder to the reduced rate. Round-trip tickets are good for all lines 30 days after purchase.
