FINAL FIGURES on the 1934 Alumni Fund campaign show total receipts of $73,-021.56 from 5,289 Dartmouth men. This year's total marks a gain of $5,821.16 or 8.6% over that of last year, while the number of contributors is 541 or 11% greater than that of last- year. The total number of contributors, 5,289, represents 54% of the living graduates of the College and is 4% higher than last year's percentage of participation.

Records of 100% or better were made by the classes of 1879, 1871, 1898, and 1884. Classes following this top group included 1904 with 92%, 1900 with 90%, 1901 with 87%, 1887 with 85%, and 1892 with 84%.

On the basis of improvement over last yeai's records, major honors were won by 1886 with an advance of 29 places in the final standing, 1909 with an advance of 21 places, 1930 with an advance of 19 places, and 1916 with an advance of 16 places. Through an increase of more than 100 contributors over last year's total, the class of 1930 was able to break all records in the number of contributors to the Fund in any class of 325 or more in any year. Among the first thirty classes in the final Fund standings, only the classes of 1930 and 1931, both with about 450 members, have more than 250 living graduates.

The accumulative Alumni Fund figure for the period 1906-1934 has now reached ?1>559>517-55- Of this total the class of 1879 has contributed $71,754.00, followed by the class of 1900 with $61,984.66, the class of 1911 with $59,655.11, the class of 1910 with $53>715-36> the class °f with $51,387.23, and the class of 1907 with $50,507.13.

The Fund campaign was conducted this year by a committee of the Alumni Council headed by John C. Sterling 'll and including Ephraim H. Crane '9B, Carl F. Woods 'O4, Ford H. Whelden '25, and Paul W. Loudon 'l4. Albert I. Dickerson '3O, executive assistant to President Hopkins, was executive secretary of the Fund committee and took active charge of the campaign from Hanover.

The Alumni Council committee handling the Fund campaign in 1935 will consist of John W. Hubbell '2l, chairman, John C. Sterling 'll, Frank J. Reagan 'O9, Louis E. Leverone 'O4, and William H. Bemis 'lB. Mr. Dickerson, who has contributed invaluable service to Alumni Fund committees of the past three years, has again been chosen to continue as executive secretary.

Receipts from the Alumni Fund this year were sufficient to cover the deficit for the financial year ending June 30, 1934, and the balance of the deficit carried forward from the previous year, and to enable the College to show a surplus of more than three thousand dollars for the past year.
