Fritz crisler, Princeton coach, was the last speaker on the program of a football smoker the night before the Princeton-Harvard game. He concluded his remarks by saying, "I hope the best team will win." According to the story, Bill Bingham, Harvard director of athletics, spoke up, "You mean the better team, don't you?" To which Crisler replied, "No, I brought three teams up here and I don't know yet which is the best one!"
