Hanover froze up so solidly this vacation that not even news could seep through. Eric and Katharine Kelly went down to Springfield, Mass., for the holidays, and on their way back were three hours making the distance froin Windsor, Vt., to Hanover; evidently it was so icy that the car slipped back faster than it progressed forward. With this apology for the shortness of my monthly column, I append the few items that I have been able to gather.

Dan and Kitty Hatch came down from Montreal to spend Christmas with Dan Jr. and Mary Alice, and Mrs. Childs and I had the pleasure of dining with them. The whole Hatch family, including the new husky pup, is as blooming as ever.

Toot Bourne has left Chicago for the West Coast. His new address is 17131/2 Echo Park Ave., Los Angeles, Calif.

I have just learned that Bill Bell is recuperating from a breakdown which he suffered last August. He has been laid up in the house for over five months now, but hopes to be back at work in a month or two more.

Arthur Cragin's elder daughter, Helen, is a freshman this year at Mount Holyoke. His other daughter, Emily, enters high school in February.

An article entitled "The Value of Cod Liver Oil in the Treatment of Anemia," by Dr. Arthur D. Holmes and two collaborators, appeared in the New EnglandJournal of Medicine for October 26, and has been reprinted as a separate monograph.
