Dr. John P. Bowler 'l5, dean of the Dartmouth Medical School, was elected president of the Association of Resident and Former Resident Physicians of the Mayo Clinic and Mayo Foundation at the annual meeting in Rochester, Minnesota, on October 7, it has just been disclosed in the December issue of the Diplomate.
Dr. Bowler, following the completion of his course at the Dartmouth Medical School in 1917 and his graduation from the Harvard Medical School in 1919, was Surgical Fellow at the Mayo Clinic from 1921 t0 1924. In the latter year he received his M.Sc. degree in Surgery at the University of Minnesota, and first became connected with the Medical School faculty as Instructor in Pharmacology. Dr. Bowler has been Dean of the Medical School since 1927.
