1934 Commencement

The shortened Commencement period for this year has been planned for the convenience of alumni and friends of seniors coming to Hanover for the occasion. It is hoped that many more alumni will be able to attend the Commencement exercises, which are this year scheduled for Monday morning rather than Tuesday as previously. With the exercises now being held in the picturesque setting of the Bema, there is space to accommodate all those wishing to attend. It should also be noted that two important events will take place Friday evening rather than later in the week-end as in past years. The complete tentative program follows: Friday, June 15MORNING Meeting of the Board of Trustees. Meeting of Alumni Council. NOON Joint luncheon of Trustees and Council. AFTERNOON Meeting of Alumni Council. EVENING President and Mrs. Hopkins' reception welcoming seniors, their guests, alumni and faculty. Commencement Ball. Saturday, June 16MORNING Class Day exercises. NOON Alumni luncheon. AFTERNOON Alumni parade to Cornell baseball game. Fraternity and society reunions. EVENING Reunion class dinners. "lolanthe" by The Players in Webster Hall. Sunday, June 17MORNING Baccalaureate. AFTERNOON Reunion class outings and picnics. EVENING Reunion class dinners. Concert by the Musical Clubs in Webster Hall. Monday, June 18MORNING Commencement exercises in the Bema.
