Joseph H. Brewer Jr. '20 took office on February 1 as president of Olivet College, at Olivet, Michigan. Following his education at Dartmouth and Oxford, he entered the publishing business in this country, and until recently was a member of the firm of Brewer, Warren and Putnam.

After leaving Dartmouth at the end of his sophomore year to serve in the United States army, Mr. Brewer returned to college after the war and was graduated in the class of 1920. He continued his education at Magdalen College, Oxford, and received his B.A. degree there in 1922. Mr. Brewer spent three years in London after Oxford, and during most of this period was on the staff of The Spectator. Upon returning to this country, he became associated with D. Appleton and Company, publishers, and then with the Brewer, Warren and Putnam firm which was bought out by Harcourt and Brace.
