By the time this issue of the MAGAZINE is at hand, Coaches Blaik, Ellinger, and Gustafson will be back in Hanover, the Green's new end coach will probably have been announced, and preparations for a man-sized spring practice will be well under way. Earl Blaik claims to have one of the best end coaches in the country lined up, and it looks as if there will be four ideal coaches instead of three to handle the Big Green this year.
Coach Blaik was welcomed into the Dartmouth family by the alumni of his home town, Dayton, on February 10, and other informal dinners were held in his honor by the alumni of Cincinnati on February 17, of Toledo on February 22, of Chicago on February 21, of Detroit on February 23, and of Cleveland on February 24. An itinerary of visits to several of the eastern alumni clubs is also being arranged for Coach Blaik.
