Curt Sheldon has been made vice-president and trust officer of the New Britain National Bank, where he has been for years. This is another step upward for Curt that is undoubtedly due to his usual custom of doing intelligently and conscientiously whatever work comes his way. Curt attended the trust conferences of the American Bankers Association in New York recently and ran into Hal Hall and Chappelear. Fred Carroll attended the conference also in his capacity as vicepresident and trust officer of the National Shawmut Bank of Boston.

Sam Bell left for the Pacific Coast early in March, but expects to be back by the first of April. He told me at some length about the details of his last golf match with Freddie Carroll, but, out of consideration for Freddie, we won't say anything more about it. With Sawny Reagan on deck, it looks as if Sam, Jim Driscoll, and Freddie will have their troubles on the golf course Saturday morning at reunion. Incidentally, Sam and Jim have issued a challenge for a four-ball match with any other pair in the class. I spoke of this to Phil Avery and he asked if they had beaten Sandy Hooker and Bob Burns yet, and I answered, "Not to my knowledge," whereupon he remarked that when Jim and Sam had so acquired a reputation it might be time for us to think about it.

The following sons of members of the class are now undergraduates, i.e.: Stanley D. Leighton '34 Phi Sigma Kappa Henry R.Bankart Jr. '35 5 College St. Gordon B. York '35 Phi Sigma Kappa William P. Reed '36 22 Crosby Richard W. Rucker '36 205 Lord Royal K. Abbott Jr.' 37 310 Woodward Robert C. Bankart '37 16 College Hall Robert A. Burns Jr. '37 14 Crosby John G. Moody '37 409 Russell Sage Frank J. O'Brien Jr. '37 305 Gile Pettengill and his family are taking a West Indies cruise on the United Fruit Company's boat, the Veragua, leaving New York March 22. It should be interesting to be with Pettengill in Havana. Pettengill's newest contract is with Socony-Vacuum. He is now living in New Canaan, Conn., with offices at 9 SnifEen Court, New York City.

Presumably you all know that the reunion will be held the week-end of June 16. I have just received word from the College that the baseball game with Cornell, scheduled for Saturday morning, has been changed to Saturday afternoon. Class Day exercises, accordingly, will be held Saturday morning instead of Saturday afternoon. The ladies can attend the performance of lolanthe, which will be given by the Players Saturday evening, while the men attend the keg party.

Every other day we get a new name to add to our list of those who expect to be present at reunion. At this moment the total is eighty-two, with over fifty more fellows to be heard from. Hardly anyone has written us any suggestions or criticisms. Are we to assume that the program as outlined is perfectly satisfactory to everyone in every respect? It hardly seems possible. But if you want any additions or changes, and don't let us know of them, we'll have to go ahead "as is" and hope for the best. It will be a marvelous party either way. Better join the eighty-two if you're not already in.
