Laing Gets Fellowship

Alexander Laing '25, Hanover author and advisor to the fine arts at Dartmouth, was among the forty recipients of John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowships announced on April 1. He will go abroad next year to do creative writing.

Mr. Laing is the author of End of Roaming and The Sea Witch, as well as a volume of poetry entitled Fool's Errand. He is coauthor with R. A. Lattimore '26 of a volume of Hanover Poems, and edited the anonymous mystery novel The Cadaver ofGideon Wyck which was a recent best seller.
