The Boston Traveler of April 13 carried the announcement that Orlando C. Davis had been appointed to the position of chief librarian of the circulation division of the Boston Public Library, a position recently established. Davis, who recently resigned as librarian of the Bridgeport, Conn., Public Library, confirms the announcement and writes that he will take up his new duties on June 1. Classmates who have not followed Davis' activities since graduation will be interested in his activities. He was head cataloguer and then reference librarian at Dartmouth College from graduation to 1910. He was then successively librarian at the Waltham, Mass., Public Library, East Chicago, Hammond, Ind., and Bridgeport, Conn.

Sam Bartlett represented '07 at the annual dinner of the Dartmouth Club of Northern New Jersey held on April 7 at the Essex County Country Club in West Orange, N. J. Bill Minsch, though unable to attend the dinner, was re-elected to the board of governors.

Francis Boyer has recently accepted a position with the United States Finishing Company at their Norwich, Conn., plant.

Norman Cushman reports a splendid vacation at Amherst, Mass. Norman will represent the class at the annual meeting of class secretaries to be held in Hanover on May 11 and 18.

Your Secretary has had an unconfirmed report that Jack Hammond, who has been sojourning in England for a couple of years doing medical research work, has now returned to his native land. Perhaps Jack will write the Secretary concerning his present whereabouts and activities.

Dr. S. S. Goldwater, commissioner of hospitals in New York, has appointed Dr. Charlie McKendree chairman of a committee to conduct a survey of the psychiatric service at Bellevue Hospital, New York City.

Classmates who are planning to tour New England this summer should call on Bill Wyman, who is making his headquarters at the Ashfield House, Ashfield, Mass. It is reported that Bill will direct the Ashfield House and will also have an executive responsibility for the several New England hotels under the management of L. G. Treadway 'OB.

In a recent College publication, listing men of distinctive accomplishment in the first semester of the current college year, the Secretary notes the name of D. S. Redington, son of Ted Redington.
