On May 24 the Club will hold its annual meeting to elect its officers and governors for the coming year. The membership has swelled to the eleven hundred mark; but more are needed, so jump on the band wagon while the cost is low.

Sig Larmon '14 has been elected a member of the board of governors to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Tom Streeter '04. Morrie Hubbard '32 has been appointed to the post of assistant secretary, and the writer hopes to have him as busy as a one-armed paper hanger very shortly.

Events of the past month include the Sophomore Fathers' Dinner, the turnout at which was unusually good, numbering approximately 125 men, included in which group were the sophomore class advisers. Ernie Earley '18 graciously consented to run the party again this year, and as usual did a wonderful job.

There were also a great many class dinners, most of which were extremely well attended.

In the middle of April the assistant secretary of the New York Stock Exchange, Mr. Jason Westerfield, came to the Club for lunch as speaker guest and entertained the members for a half hour with a most interesting and timely talk.

The Club still wants, besides more members, more boarders. As those who have inquired and those who live at the Club know, the rates are unusually reasonable and the most modest pocketbook can be accommodated. If you don't know the rates, just drop into the Club and see for yourself how much you can purchase in the way of comfort and pleasure for very little money.

This summer, the golf tournament and similar summer outings will be held as usual. Those of you who find yourself stranded in the Big City during New York's annual "tropical heat wave" will find it worth while to contact the Club and discuss your prospective handicap over a stein of draught beer.

Secretary.
