One look at the Guest Book at the cabin of the Dartmouth Outing Club of Boston, located in the "wilds" of Groton, Mass., indicates a fervid interest in this offshoot of the parent organization in Hanover by Don Wilbur, Walt Emerson, and Red Hopkins. Don is secretary of the organization, and at a rough guess spends at least two nights a week there.

Alex Gibson, who administers French to more than one or two Dartmouth candidates each year at Horace Mann School in New York City, also gets a Hanover slant on Manhattan College's prospects for the football season. Right near his home, Frankie Smith, assisting Chick Meehan again this fall, goes into an occasional huddle with Alex. All plans were made to attend the reunion, Alex unfolds, but the expected arrival of Barbara Jean kept him close to home. Following this 4th of July event he drove to Vermont via Hanover, which was thoroughly deserted, however, when he got there.

Another teacher out on the Coast has left the Bonita School to teach at Tamarack Lodge, Big Bear Lake, Calif.

Uncle Sam or his postmaster in Santa Ana, Calif., reports that Harry Brough is now residing at 915 Oak St., that city.

Note for the "Association of Presidents." Frank Bardol has been made president of Paramount Specialties Co., 209 W. 38th St., New York City. His home is in New Rochelle—4 Bancker Place.

The first word from Paul Healy in months explains that he is a credit manager in Boston, 664 Commonwealth Ave., and living in Dorchester at 25 Ely Road.

For the current year at least Spider Martin is president of the Dartmouth Luncheon Club of Waterbury, Conn., Whit Gowrie continues his duties as secretary of the Dartmouth Club of New Haven, George Traver heads the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Chicago, Doug Gorton succeeds himself as secretary of the Cleveland Dartmouth Club, John Dregge is president of the Western Michigan Dartmouth Alumni Association, Hap Jones directs the Dartmouth Club of Georgia, Leon Rothschild once more keeps the records for the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Southern California after several years of yeoman service, and Art Graham does the same for the Dartmouth Club of Western New York at Buffalo.

Freddy Laidlaw appears to have hibernated for the winter, staying at Harwich on Cape Cod.

Johnny Barlow is right in the thick of moviedom, managing the Park Wilshire Hotel, 2424 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, and living at 1439 North Crescent Heights Blvd., Hollywood, Calif.

Billy Patten, another mystery memberat-large of this column, turns up at 425 Kathmere Road, Brookline, Upper Darby, Pa.

EXCERPTS FROM The Dartmouth, DEC., 1923 Dave Perry presided at a meeting of the Dartmouth College Club and introduced William Jennings Bryan, who spoke on "Science Versus Evolution," and who opened his remarks by a blast at the editorial of Hal Cowley's appearing in the paper the morning before regarding Mr. Bryan's views.

The Carnival Show chorus reported for rehearsals, the seniors represented by George Anderson, John Dregge, Brad "Wilson, and Hal Springborn.

Les Haws closed his football career standing seventh in the national list of individual scorers with 8 touchdowns, 18 points after touchdown, and one field goal, a total of 69.

On a question unifying all New England railroads, AL Hadlock upholding the negative side as a member of the Dartmouth Debating Team helped to defeat Yale at New Haven. (Note—Those were the days when they held triangular debating meets too, with a team at home and the other away.)

Freddy Shaneman scored one goal against Clarkson in the opening game of the basketball season.
