Mrs. D. O. Hoyt and Mrs. Nettie J. Praddex and Mrs. Richard LaCoss of Rudsboro spent last Friday in South Woodstock, Vt., with Mrs. May Chapin, having a delightful ride over the new road over Quechee Gulf and the foliage was wonderful and at night when returning a hard snow storm met us and followed us home snowing all night and about 4 or 5 inches fell making it seem very much like winter.

Snow all gone Monday.

SOUTH ROAD

The Willing Workers held a party at Martin Pierce's Saturday night and about 50 were present. About the same amount of cake was left over, as usual, and a jolly good time was had by all present.

S. W. Currier butchered two fine spring pigs Monday. Sam Abbott did the butchering and they can't beat Sam if he is 82 years old.
