Over 600 at Intersession
June 1943

FIGURES FROM the Registrar's office show that 673 students have returned to college for the intersession, which began on May 10 and will run until June 26. Of this number, 614 are undergraduates and 59 are attending the graduate schools.

The Class of 1946 has the highest undergraduate representation with 218, followed closely by the Class of 1945 with a total of 202. In the Class of 1944, 187 men have returned, but only 7 from the Class of 1943 are back. The majority out of the 673 are in either the Marine or Naval Reserves and were required to attend the short term on orders from their respective services. The rest either have been deferred in order that they may complete their courses or are too young for military service.

The Medical School, which ends its present semester on June 17, is having no inters ession, so the 45 medical students who are now enrolled in a regular term should not be counted in the total intersession enrollment figure. As Tuck II is not being given this semester and all other Tuck men are included in the undergraduate totals, there are only two special Tuck students listed. Four graduate students and eight Thayer men complete the graduate enrollment.
