A house-confining cold early in May prevented me from getting off any notes for the June issue and now make some of them ancient history—but none the less interesting on that account.
April brought a friendly letter from Harry Coombs, in which he announced his retirement from the pastorate of the Stephentown (N. Y.) Presbyterian church. He reports that he is healthy and vigorous but that Mrs. Coombs is not strong enough to undertake the responsibilities of church work. The Coombs have moved to the village of Sand Lake, N. Y., and are looking forward to a quiet and restful life there. We may be sure it will be a useful one, too.
Belated news came of Stoughton's change of business address. He is still an investment counselor, but is in Room 1201 at 50 Broadway, N. Y.
Harry Allen wrote me that he, Geiger, and Sargent represented '92 at the alumni dinner at Hanover on June 16. He also sent me a clipping in regard to his son, George, who was graduated from Green Mountain Junior College last June. George not only received his diploma as an associate in science but an honor prize for special accomplishment.
I again remind you that these notes will be of interest only as you have interest enough in them to send me word of your doings, which include, of course, the doings of your whole family.
By the way, your Secretary has moved recently to Longwood Towers, Brookline. His name isn't in the telephone book, but you can call Longwood Towers and get him if you are going through Boston outside of business hours.
