Newark

AT THE MEETING October 17 the Newark Luncheon Group had the pleasure of hearing Bill Morton '32 in an informal talk. Bill gave us a fine résumé of the recent trends in eastern football at the institutions of Dartmouth's type. Coupled with the historical background, this explanation gave the entire group a deeper insight into the "whys" of recent wholesale staff and policy changes in these schools. Bill voiced a plea for closer alumni surveillance of good students in the schools of our locality with the purpose of interesting them in Dartmouth.

The attendance at this meeting was the largest of the year, including such luminaries as Charlie Zimmerman, Fred Briethut, Jules Rippel, Gus Wiedenmayer, Jim Hodge, Brant Wallace, Dick Plumer, and Doc Braun. We are looking ahead to bigger and better things for the rest of the year.
