OVER ONE hundred and twenty-five loyal alumni and their guests gathered at the Montclair Athletic Club for our Annual Smoker on March 3. A varied program was enthusiastically received. Our guest was Eddie Chamberlin '36, who presented a fine talk on his two specialties—the work of the Freshman Dean's office and football. The movies of the 1937 season were shown with many sound effects supplied by the audience.
The following officers were elected for 1938-1939: president, Charles Bishop '26; Ist vice president, Gilbert N. Swett '17; 2d vice president, S. A. Perkins '21; secretary, Donald A. Simpson '32; assistant secretary, Gordon M. Carver '31; treasurer, G. E. Wiedenmayer '29; chairman entertainment committee, J. B. Wallace '26.
The chairman of the entertainment committee announced that the Musical Clubs had been engaged for a concert. The date of this outstanding affair is April 9; the place is the Montclair Athletic Club, and the price is $2.00 per person. After the concert the Barbary Coast Orchestra will play for dancing. Alumni in New Jersey are strongly urged to come and bring their friends. An opportunity to hear the finest group of collegiate musicians in the country, in a full program, is not often afforded so close to home. Tickets may be obtained from the secretary or at the door.
