THE ACTIVITIES of the St. Louis group began officially with the October smoker held at Max Waldsmith's. The attendance was the usual one except for two new faces, John Irish and Milton Spitz of the Class of 1935- Spitz is going to Washington University Medical School and Irish has just moved into town with his family. We were disappointed in hearing that Paul White is moving to Omaha in accordance with his company's (Western Union) wishes.

Phil Bassett '30 has bade us farewell (quite a party) to study surgery in New York. Before he puts his mind and hands to work, he tells us, he is going to take a trip to Europe.

Red Aiken '34 has moved to Ohio where he will polish off his education.

New members of the undergraduate body are Harvey Rhodes '39 and Ernie Curtis, Washington University '35, who is taking his first year at Tuck School.

On Sunday, October 20th, we held our semi-annual picnic at Clark Schmidt's lodge at Chautauqua, Illinois. As usual the party was a great success, about thirty members attending.

On November 2nd a large group assembled at the University Club where arrangements had been made for a leased wire of the Yale-Darmouth Game, and with the help of Harry Deckert's broadcasting ability we were able to get a rip snortin' account of the game. A number of Yale graduates also attended this session but they left immediately after the game was over. However, members of the Dartmouth Group remained until the small hours of the morning. Among those present was Hal Andres, captain of the 1931 team—just happened 10 blow in town about that time.
