Bowler Day

Dr. John W. Bowler, retiring Director of the Gymnasium and professor of Physical Education, will be honored at a testimonial dinner in Hanover on May 4. Prof. Charles E. Bolser '97 will act as toastmaster at the banquet, which is being sponsored by the Department of Physical Education and Hygiene, and a special committee on arrangements has been appointed, including Prof. P. J. Kaney, chairman, Prof. Bolser, Prof. H. L. Hillman, Prof. E. P. Kelly 'O6, and Dr. J. G. Pollard '23.

Dr. and Mrs. Bowler have been spending the winter in Miami, Florida, and will return to Hanover in April. Dr. Bowler will retire this June after being connected with Dartmouth College continuously since 1901. He received his M.D. degree at the Dartmouth Medical School in 1906 and was awarded an honorary Master's degree by the College in 1910.
