Our last column until fall—no more issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE until October. Harv Hood has agreed to take in the Secretaries' Meeting at Hanover in May; by the time you peruse these notes that occasion will be past history and doubtless our genial class president will have a report about prepared to be published in the summer issue of "The Roar." .... That is, if the condition of the treasury warrants an issue. Which brings up the old story of "have you paid your $3.50 dues to Treasurer Ernie Earley?" Don't know his address? Well, well—it's 16 Court .St., Brooklyn, N. Y.

Louie Huntoon, big collapsible tube man from Providence, breaks down and comments: "On setting foot on the Carinthia, leaving New York some weeks agofor Nassau, I was greeted by none otherthan Dan Shea himself. We got seats atthe same table, and the first day out Danbegan 'looking them over.' Needless to sayhe did not have to spend a great deal oftime, and I noted he had not lost his artin this respect." .... You Eighteeners now have your class address or record book. A la Rube Goldberg, what are you gonna do with it? We hope you'll use it and get reacquainted with some of the good old eggs you used to know back in the days before you grew bald.

George Hull, Parisian milk and cream magnate, writes a brother classmate in this vein: "The American colony must beround 1000 now instead of 5000 as in 1929.I pop in and have a drink at Hort Kennedy's on my way home sometimes. Helives three blocks from me. I call myselfpresident of the Dartmouth Club; don'tthink they ever elected me, but no one elseseems to want to do the work. My businessis holding up fairly well, but I'm alwaysinterested in agencies for over here, soif your friends want a man in Paris ahem! I have spare time. I'm going to tryand make the 20th reunion."

Immodestly, but for the records, your Secretary now joins Bill Bemis on the Alumni Council Harv Hood Apriled with his wife in St. Petersburg, Fla Gus Gustafson came all the way down from Louisville for the meeting of the Southeastern alumni in Atlanta, early in April—as full of the old enthusiasm and pep as ever. Makes an old man young to associate with Gus once again. .... And here's an item from up Nashua way: "Mayor Alvin A. Lucier announcedtoday that he would seek re-election thisyear. He is serving his first term as mayor. There had been rumors that he would bea candidate for the De?nocratic nominationfor Congress, but his announcement putan end to them."

By the time this column meets your eye, old Frank Clahane will be putting the finishing touches on the class drive to make a decent showing with the Alumni Fund. Understand that two men in Eighteen have agreed to kick in with $100 each, provided three other individual subscriptions of like amount are secured by Frank. Here's hoping. Incidentally, it's not too late for you to rush in your own subscription, regardless of size. Frank's address is c/o Moody's Investors Service, 65 Broadway, New York City. Last year only 37% of our class came throughcertain it is we must do better this time!

Hort Chandler is now supervisor of the Rural Electrification Survey in New Hampshire. Em Morse (Chicago) is reported as having, a while back, spent some time on a dude ranch Enter these changes in your class record book: Joseph Penn Carolan now at 1111 Keystone Ave., River Forest, Ill. Charlie Kozminski can now be reached at 5000 Ellis Ave., Chicago. Leslie Merrell's new residence address is 120 Pierrepont St., Brooklyn, N. Y. Ralph Barrett now holding forth at 97 Barrow St., New York City. And George Blood is listed as living in West Lebanon, N. H. The only supplements issued for your address book are these columns; so to keep your copy up to date make the entries now. Thankee.

The Eighteen boys in and around Boston held a meeting the night of May ninth. Since the printer closed his forms about that same time, we are unable to report, in this issue, what transpired. Except we know Rolf Syvertsen was scheduled to come down from Hanover and tell the boys what is what and why on the old campus.

.... Bill Bemis, and Al Gottschaldt and wife expect to be in Hanover for Commencement; if any other Eighteeners are in the vicinity, let's make connections for a golf foursome By the way, please take a look at the ten names given in the class record book as "inactive, addresses unknown." We ought to be able to locate these lost, strayed, or stolen members of the class.

It now appears quite probable that Clarence Opper's idea of informal summer reunions at Hanover—of classes that were on the campus together—will be adopted. . ... If we're going to get out another issue of "The Roar," some news items must be forthcoming. The cupboard is. bare. If no data appears after your name in the class record book, you know darned well you owe your Secretary a letter—so. obey that impulse!
