Ken Weeks '26, State president, had the toastmaster's chair. Al Dickerson '30 led off for the Hanover trio and his first appearance demands more in the years to come. He discussed the Alumni Fund, explaining from his long experience this all-important alumni activity with special attention to the emergencies created by the Dartmouth Hall fire, and the Athletic Dept. deficits.

Bob Strong '24, Dean of Freshmen, outlined the method of selection, stressing the changes in effect a year ago. He covered the problems of his office in grand fashion. Would that the parents of successful and unsuccessful candidates for next year's class could have heard his story! Bob's speaking program together will Al's, seems labeled for regular appearance.

President Hopkins, in his usual fashion, covered the high lights of the past year. He chose external and internal events as interesting to the Connecticut flock. The announcement that Dartmouth Hall would be rebuilt, fireproof, so that it would not burn again in the lives of those present, that the College had struggled through depression without an accumulated debt won applause. The Moosilauke development drew its share of attention from the President. The new problems of education once again were an important part of President Hopkins' discussion.

The business meeting prior to dinner was conducted by State officers, executive committees, and officers of the city association. Next year's meeting will be held at New Britain. New officers for the coming year are: Dick Pritchard '14, president; White Gowrie '26, vice-president, and Jack Conners '14, secretary.

The Fathers Association continues development work in the City and State associations. This group has shown increased interest in Dartmouth affairs as evidenced by greater attendance each year.

Attendance Cup: with 212 reporting, the attendance cup brought out a close contest. New Britain, last year's winner, repeated its victory on a percentage basis and now has two legs on the cup.
