President Writes Article

As a timely substitute for the formal convocation address which President Hopkins decided to omit this year, the October issue of the Atlantic Monthly appeared on September 20 with a lead article by Dartmouth's head entitled "Thoughts Current." At the urgent request of Ellery Sedgewick, editor of the Atlantic, President Hopkins has written a critical analysis of the political philosophy behind the New Deal. The article is a strong indictment of current tendencies in government.
