Stowell is the owner of the Stowell Spraying Company, of Corona Del Mar, Calif. Since his daughter's marriage last year Stowell and his wife and grandson make up his entire family. His grandson, who is seven years of age, is an orphan, and Stowell writes that he is trying to bring him up "in the straight and narrow." They are very well.

Fitzgerald was on East from Carson City early in October, and expects to be in Washington in November and January. He called me up from Boston, but was here only a short time. Assured me he would be here for our Fiftieth. I haven't seen him since he left Dartmouth.
