Fraternity scholastic averages for the past year, recently issued by the Registrar's office, show Phi Lambda Phi in first place, followed by Alpha Sigma Phi which this fall relinquished its national charter and took back its old local name of Sigma Alpha. The general fraternity average was 2.364 in contrast to the slightly higher average of 2.462 for non-fraternity men.

The general College average was 2.307, made up of 2.688 for the seniors, 2.463 for the juniors, 2.082 for the sophomores, and 2.074 for the freshmen.
