IN THE GENERAL re-scheduling of events in the Dartmouth war program, alumni class reunions will be held this year on May 15, 16 and 17, the week-end following the College's accelerated Commencement on May 10. On the same dates the spring meetings of the Alumni Council, the Secretaries Association, the Class Treasurers Association, and Class Agents will also be held in Hanover. The annual Hanover Holiday lectures series will run from Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15, making the post-commencement week an unusually full one.
The tentative program for Friday, May 15, opens with a Hanover Holiday lecture at 9:30 A.M. and an Alumni Council meeting in Sanborn House at the same hour. That afternoon at 3 the Secretaries Association, the Class Treasurers Association, and the Class Agents will meet together in Baker Library, and at 6:30 the same groups will join with the Alumni Council for dinner in Thayer Hall. President and Mrs. Hopkins will hold a reception for alumni and guests that evening, followed by an alumni dance and the showing of Dartmouth movies.
On Saturday morning separate meetings will be held by the class secretaries, club secretaries, class treasurers, and Class Agents. The annual alumni luncheon and meeting of the General Association of Alumni, with President Hopkins as main speaker, is scheduled for 12:30, followed by a baseball game that afternoon and fraternity corporation meetings at 5. Class reunion dinners will be the chief events for Saturday evening, and on Sunday class meetings and class picnics will close the program.
The "2" and "7" classes holding reunions this year are 189 a, 1897, 1902, 1907, 1917, 1922, 1927, 1932, and 1937.
