According to the quarterly report of the Alumni Records Office there is now a total of 16,895 Dartmouth alumni. Of this number 10,685 are graduates, 5,043 are nongraduates, and the remaining number are divided among alumni of the Medical School, Thayer School, and the Tuck School, and those who have received advanced and honorary degrees.
Although it is generally supposed that recent graduating classes are larger than those of the 20's, the report reveals that the class of 1923 has the largest total of any Dartmouth class. Four hundred twelve graduates and 286 non-graduates give the class of '23 a total enrollment of 698. The nearest approach to this figure is the class of '35 which is listed with 691 members.
Miss Charlotte Ford, alumni recorder, states that the ten oldest living graduates of the College listed in order of age are: Zeeb Gilman '63 of Redlands, Calif., Edward Tuck '62 of Paris, Amar W. Folsom '69 of Bath, Me., Joseph R. Milligan '62 of Baltimore, Dexter T. Clark '65 of Randolph, Mass., Samuel P. Atkinson '66 of Champaign, Ill., Henry A. Kendall '66 of Somerville, Mass., Jesse G. Mac Murphy '68 of Derry Village, N. H., Charles E. Woodbury '70 of Roslindale, Mass. and Edwin DeMeritte '69 of Exeter, N. H.
