By Edwin Brant Frost '86. Houghton Mifflin Company. 1935.

This book, written particularly for boys and girls of about scout age, was prepared by Professor Frost shortly before his death. It is a stimulating little book written in a delightfully conversational manner. One is astonished at the range of subject matter the author has been able to handle in an elementary fashion. Although Professor Frost has written for youngsters, he has not talked down to them at the expense of accuracy. There is much astronomy here put in a charmingly simple manner. Truly complicated observational processes and involved deductions have been outlined with such plainness that the young mind, grasping the essential ideas without being fatigued by confusing detail, will be left hungry for more. Those who knew Professor Frost will find the book as refreshing as were conversations with him.
