BEN AMES WILLIAMS is one of the speakers at the Boston alumni dinner, and Ben'll do a good job, .... because of his great prominence in the writing field, we've sort of forgotten that he was a member of the Dartmouth debating team during undergraduate days, gave "The Address to the President," graduated "cum laude," and was born in Macon, Miss., Mar. 7, 1889. .... EXCUSE our digressing, but Mort Hull's facial camouflage in Larry Griswold's 'OB column last month reminded us of his favorite undergraduate dish, steak smothered in strawberries, and Musical Mort knew his dishes in the days when Dartmouth grad Horace Fletcher put the molar system back on the map .... getting our "grinding" sorter confused, our memory flashed back to some of those good eggs who uster be on the faculty, centering on that grand good fellow Freddie Emery, a true gentleman, and never unsympathetic .... we know of an unpublished good deed or so he did for Dartmouth athletics Freddie will live long in the minds of those who were privileged to know him.
