To the Editor:

I READ WITH interest the admirable obituary on the late Dr. C. L. Dana '72. He spent a good deal of time in Hanover in the summer when I was in medical school, and we admired him a lot.

The writer of the obituary overlooked the fact that Dr. Dana was a professor in his alma mater. He was a lecturer on nervous diseases in Dartmouth Medical School from 1889-90 and professor from 1890-93. Those three, Danas were about as brilliant a group as one family has turned out in some time.

Your February issue is particularly interesting. I sit down and bury myself in the MAGAZINE the moment it comes and it helps me keep in touch with a lot of men who otherwise I should know nothing of.
