Professor Charles L. Stone '17, of the Department of Psychology, has been appointed by President Hopkins to act as chairman of the Division of the Social Sciences during the second semester. He is temporarily filling the post of Professor James P. Richardson '99, of the Department of Political Science, who is on leave of absence at the present time.
Professor Stone has been a member of the Dartmouth faculty since the year of his graduation. Starting as instructor in Psychology in 1917, he was promoted to assistant professor in 1920, and in 1926 was raised to the rank of full professor. He received an M.A. degree from Dartmouth in 1921.
