Members of the junior class who will captain Big Green teams next year include Lester F. Barrett of Arlington, Mass., hockey; Harold C. Parachini of New York City, basketball; David U. Herrmann of New York City, gym; and Harold B. Putnam Jr., of Hyde Park, Mass., ice-skating. Barrett has played forward on the Green hockey team for the past two seasons, and before coming to Dartmouth was hockey captain at Worcester Academy. Parachini, a graduate of Chestnut Hill Academy, was regular forward on the Indian five this season after filling a leading reserve role as a sophomore. Herrmann, a graduate of Columbia Grammar School, has competed on the side-horse for two seasons. Putnam placed fifth in the Boston Silver Skates Derby this past winter and made an unusually good showing for his first year of competition.

Basketball letters have been awarded to Captain John R. McKernan '36, Barre, Vt.; Paul S. Cleaveland '36, Lancaster, N. H.; Arthur B. Toan Jr. '36, Leonia, N. J.; Philip S. Conti '37, Barre, Vt.; Raymond R. Ratajczak '37, Buffalo, N. Y.; Harold C. Parachini '37, New York City; William K. Thomas '38, Hollis, N. Y. The Athletic Council voted a posthumous award to the late Jack B. O'Brien '36, of Dayton, Ohio.

Skating letters have been voted to Captain Lawrence Goldthwait '36 of Hanover, and George A. Wallace '38 of Burlingame, Calif. Wallace plans to attend Stanford University next year and will be lost to the Green team. Skating numerals have been awarded to Harry Edmondson '39 of Cleveland, Ohio, and Arthur M. Adler Jr. '39 of Chicago.
