Council Elections
May 1936

Balloting by alumni clubs in several sections of the country has been in progress in recent weeks, in accordance with amendments to the Alumni Council constitution adopted two years ago in June. The results of nominations submitted by alumni clubs for members to fill vacancies on the Council are:

New England States: Edward K. Robinson '04 of Boston was the only nominee from this district; therefore nomination was equivalent to election. On July 1 he will begin a full term of three years to succeed Carl F. Woods '04 of Boston whose second full term of three years expires on June 30.

Middle Atlantic States: There are two nominees in this district. Election ballots sent to all voters on May 1 carry the names of Karl R. Maerker '10 of Pittsburgh and Edmund J. Felt '18 of Buffalo.

Central States: Louis E. Leverone '04 of Chicago was the only nominee from this district. Mr. Leverone will succeed himself for a second term of three years since there were no other nominees from the district.

Middle-western States: Thomas B. Curtis '33 of St. Louis was the only nominee from this district. He will begin his first term of three years on July 1 to succeed Charles W. McKenzie '20 of St. Louis whose term expires on June 30.

Southern States: Charles G. Milham '06 of Williamsburg, Va., was the only nominee from this district. He will begin his first term on July 1 succeeding William A. Green Jr. '14 of Dallas whose term expires on June 30.

Rocky Mountain and Pacific States: Chauncey B. Baxter '10 of Tacoma, Wash., was the only nominee from this district. He will succeed himself for a second term of three years on July 1.

Mail ballots, or notices of election, were sent out on May 1 to all graduates of three years' standing in each district.
