The lacrosse team joined Dartmouth's athletic invasion of the south during spring recess and gained only experience in its encounters with some of the crack teams of the country. Returning to Hanover, Tommy Dent's stickmen defeated Colgate, 9 to a, to open a regular schedule that will bring them up against opponents in their own class.

The southern defeats were suffered at the hands of Johns Hopkins, is too, St. John's, 18 to 1, and Navy, 21 too. The first two contests of the vacation trip were lost to Montclair (N. J.) Athletic Club, 9 to 1, and Pennsylvania, 8 to 3.

Against Colgate, the Green lacrossemen were led by Clark who scored four goals. Hoffman contributed three, and the remaining two were added by Captain Shafer and Malloy. Dartmouth led 5-1 at the half and 7-2 at the end of the third quarter. Shafer was outstanding on the defense for the Indians, displaying clever guarding and ability to clear the ball.

The Green ten is composed at present of Westheimer, goal; Shafer, point; Karp, cover point; Eckel and Dawkins, defense; Malloy, center; Reeve and Hoffman, attack; Harris, out home; and Clark, in home. Leading reserves are Davidson, Pickering, Wiggint Goldberg, Collins, Marshall, and Cartwright.

Tommy Dent, popular coach of the Green lacrosse and soccer teams, has been reelected president of the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse League, which was established last season. League opponents met by Dartmouth this year include Harvard, Yale, Williams, Brown, M. I. T., New Hampshire, and Springfield.
