WE'RE VERY HAPPY to announce that Tom Curtis, class of 1932, was elected Alumni Councilor of the Fourth District, which district covers a very sizeable part of the middle west. Incidentally we expect to see the new councilor also elected to the State Legislature very shortly, but that can't make us as proud as we are now.

At the April smoker held at Boyd Rogers' house it was announced that seven applications for the class of 1940 had been sent in from St. Louis. The committee which interviewed the applicants claimed all to be of Ai (A one) caliber.

Club President, Clark Schmidt, in a formal address opened the Spring Grass and Blanket season and scheduled the Annual Dartmouth in St. Louis picnic to be held May 3 at one of the several St. Louis D. O. C. sites. Spring is definitely arrived in St. Louis, and if any alumni are within five hundred or a thousand miles of here we bid them a hearty welcome. We have draught beer on these occasions, bottled beer, canned beer, baseball, and fun.
