The 32nd annual meetings of the Dartmouth Secretaries Association were held in Hanover over the week-end of May 15 and 16, with 95 class and club leaders present as guests of the College. Business sessions were conducted in the 1902 Room of Baker Memorial Library on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning under the direction of Professor Francis L. Childs 'O6, president of the Association. The annual dinner meeting was held in Stell Hall on Friday evening, with President Hopkins and Richard F. Treadway '36, secretary-chairman of the senior class, as speakers. At that time the awards for the best class and club secretaries of the year were made to the Rev. Charles C. Merrill '94 and to John F. Conners 'l4 who is secretary of the Connecticut Association.

SPAULDING NEW PRESIDENT
Officers of the Association for the year 1936"37 were elected as follows: C. Jerry Spaulding '24 of Worcester, Mass., president; Owen A. Hoban '99 of Gardner, Mass., vice president; and Sidney C. Hayward '26 of Hanover, secretary-treasurer. An executive committee was elected consisting of these three officers and Warde Wilkins 'l3 of Boston and James C. Davis 'l9 of Cambridge, Mass. Mr. Hayward was re-elected editor of the DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE, Harold P. Hinman 'lO of Albany, N. Y., was elected Alumni Council representative of the Secretaries Association for a term of three years, and John F. Conners 'l4 of Bridgeport, Conn., was elected a member of the Advisory Committee of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE for three years to succeed Mr. Hinman.

Charles C. Merrill '94 Long-time secretary of his class, Mr. Merrill was awarded the distinction of being chosen the best class secretary for 1936 at the Secretaries Association meetings in Hanover last month.
