The names of 385 Dartmouth students, representing 16 per cent of the undergraduates of the College, were included in the report of distinctive scholastic accomplishment for the past academic year which was released during the summer. The Dartmouth honor roll includes 158 seniors, go juniors, 69 sophomores, and 68 freshmen, representing respectively 29, 16, 11, and 10 per cent of the four classes. The total number of honor students is 20 less than last year.
Seventy-four men were listed as Rufus Choate Scholars, the highest honor group of 3.6 or better, while 119 were in the second honor group of 3.3 to 3.6, and 192 were in the third honor group of 3.0 to 3.3. Ten men had perfect records of 4.0 for the full year, while 27 attained that top grade in either one of the two semesters.
