College Directs Green Book

Under a new plan to be inaugurated this fall, the Green Book, traditional freshman class book, will be published under College supervision and will appear about November 1 rather than late in the first semester as has been the case in the past. The book will serve more as a photographic directory than it has previously, and by appearing early in the college year will be available at the period when it will be most serviceable to freshmen and other members of the College.

The Green Book will be published in both a heavy paper cover and in an imitation leather cover. The latter will have to be ordered in advance. The book will contain a photograph of each freshman, together with his home address, preparatory school, preparatory school activities, and Dartmouth address. Because of the early publication date, the usual write-ups of freshman teams and activities will have to be omitted.
