Football game gatherings, reunion discussions, address changes .... oh, there are quite a few items this month for a change. To say nothing of the masthead

. . . . wangled from a New York cartoonist by Stanburp Jones Your Secretary got a break when a business trip took him East long about the time of the Harvard and Yale games. Most of these notes were gathered at that time. We're going to press with this column before details of the class party in New York (the night before the Princeton game) are available. gut we do know that Mary Ellen Earley entertained the wives at a tea; the husbands entertained themselves at a dinner; and boys and girls were duly entertained until the wee hours at the International Casino on the Gay White Way.

The night before the Harvard game a rang of Eighteeners convened in Boston. Of the week-end festivities let this column's able correspondent, Jake Bingham, relate: "Thanks to Eddie Ferguson's initiative, the personal appearance in Boston of our youthful, genial secretary was signalized by a dinner at the University Club. Those dining, and later in Al's room for a bullfest, were: Jake Bingham, Jimmy Carpenter, Louie Huntoon, Dick Cooley, Lew Cousens, Herb Duffill, Eddie Ferguson, Woody Hulbert, Fred Morse, Ben Mugridge, Joe Quincy, George Rowell, and Ed Stanley. Zooming its way northeast from Texas was a plane bringing Harvey Hood back from some milkman's meeting or other to the Harvard game. With his charming wife, Barbara, he again opened his attractive Cambridge home to a very wet (outside) group of classmates. (Ed. note—if you haven't heard, it rained the proverbial pitchforks at the Harvard game and the dousing everyone took held down the attendance at Harvey's tea.) Reunion Chairman Bob Fish (Mildred with him) gave those assembled plenty of build-up for the 'Tantalizing Twentieth ' 'Just the finest '18 party,' came from the lips of George Arnold, Ed and Jeanette Booth, Jake and Ruth Bingham, Jimmy and Mrs. Carpenter, Dick and Edith Cooley, Eddie and Mrs. Derosier, Eddie and Kath Ferguson, Tom Groves - and charming friend, Ted and Helen Hazen, Louie and Alice Huntoon, Al Gottschaldt, Harold and Ann Johnston, Ken Jones, George and Mrs. von Kapff, Marsh Leavitt, Al and Kathryn Lucier, Ed and Gretchen Noyes, Rolf and Mrs. Syvertsen, Curt and Gladys Tripp, and Leon and Lilla White.

. . . . Fred Morse was in real Hell this summer. It was Hell, Norway, where the supply of postcards saying 'wish you were here' is limited. The doctor had a nice trip to the Scandinavian countries and the Continent."

Thankee, Jake, for the report. There were a number of other Eighteeners at the game, but the weather made it impossible to stir around between halves. So we missed Ed Emerson, Stan JoneS; Lew Pounds, and doubtless many another stalwart who dared the raindrops to see the Big Green drop Harvard for the count. After the game Harvey and Barbara Hood took Reunion Chairman Fish and his pretty wife—and your Winchelling Secretary—out to what had been described as Harvey's recently acquired ski hut. Near Ashburnham—some 55 miles out of Boston—what a grand location! Built in 1754, completely remodeled within, this wonderful old New England place would be described by me as my country estate—if I owned it. Anyway, Harvey says it is a ski hut, so be it. Over the week-end we made reunion plans, or rather listened to Bob's recital of what he has lined up for the boys and gals when they return in June for that "Farewell to Youth" party. And I'm betraying no confidences when I say the plans call for the biggest (by far) reunion that we've ever had. With more to do, more of the things you like to do, more time to do them in. Here's Bob's committee:

GENERAL COMMITTEE

Chairman—Bob Fish

H. P. Hood, president; Fritz Cassebeer, vice president; Ernie Earley, treasurer; Frank Clahane, class agent; Allan Gottchaldt, secretary; Stan Jones, past comStump Barr—Hanover members.

Then there's that big working committee, of which Bob expects great thingsnamely his advisory committee. When we saw Bob he had acceptances from nearly all the members of this important committee—which covers the country with a fine comb—so you'll undoubtedly see their names emblazoned in the next issue. We counted noses or signatures over the weekend from correspondence the three of us had received, and GET THIS FACT-that already, before a single piece of reunion literature has gone out, there are SEVENTY PLEDGED TO BE PRESENT AT REUNION. Seventy already committed—if that doesn't promise a reunion of more than 150 by the time June rolls around, why we'll eat Harvey Hood's hat, that we borrowed after our kelly was drowned at the Harvard game.

Want names? Here they are—what's more, the heluvit is we know we've overlooked somebody. But there's ample time to get on the bandwagon. Write Bob Fish or your Secretary and let's have the good news. And by all means, plan to bring the missus. Edith (Mrs. Dick) Cooley has accepted chairmanship of the women's comahead for all the wives. Edith is an organizer from the word go, and she has the ingenuity, so sign up the wife now—today—and let's have the good word soon.

Here are the names, as per promise above:

Mr. and Mrs. Jay LeFevre, George Arnold, Chuck Hilliker, Johnny Cunningham, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Storrs, Ben Mugridge, Hal Doty, King Rood, Bob and Mrs. Fish, F. D. Duke, Harvey and Mrs. Hood, Dick Aishton, Fritz Cassebeer, Ernie and Mrs. Earley, Tom Bryant, Al and Bee Gottschaldt, Al and Mrs. Zulick, Tom O'Connell, Geo. On the Dartmouth Club special train from New York to New Haven, we ran into Doc Dockstader and his wife, Dusty Rhodes and the missus, Al Rice, Johnny and Mrs. O'Gara and the Ben Stones of Brockton. Between the halves there were probably several impromptu Eighteen gettogethers. One that we can report on included Christgau, Hort Chandler, Curt Glover, Jack Sullivan and his wife, and Tom Groves. Ernie Earley and Mary Ellen and their youngster were also in evidence at the bowl. It's a sure bet that scores of others were somewhere in the crowd

Understand that Doc Angell is now teaching accounting, along with his regular practice, at Suffold University. Ludlow Flower can now be reached at Cooper Bldg., Denver, Colo. And Cliff Daniels' new address is 402 S. Davison St., Stevens Point, Wis.

Eddie Butts, now holds forth at 285 Madison Ave., 21st Floor, New York City. Harold D'Ancona's new address is the Shoreland Hotel, 5454 S. Shore Drive, Chicago. Cort Horr receives mail at 854 Livingston St., Syracuse, N. Y. And George Mcßride's present address is 425 N. sth, Belen, New Mexico. Hal Doty lists his new address as 240 W. McPherson, Dayton, Ohio. Tom Campbell, who lists his occuhis offices at 1024 Patterson Bldg., Denver, Colo.

Add some more names to the "surely will be at reunion" list. Herm Whitmore of Pelham, N. Y., is under the wire. And Geo. M. Davis Jr. of New Rochelle. Plus Mortimer Coon, field engineer with Sharon Steel Corporation, of Sharon, Pa. Yes, and Bill Mudgett postcards in that he will make the long trek from California in June! Gosh, how the list is growing. Don't you begin to "feel" the reunion already? I do.

Another glance through recent correspondence and here's Pete Colwell of New Rochelle, who says to count on him for the 20th. Imagine, gang, all these definite "yesses" before a piece of promotion went into the mails! Are we going to say "Far said it!

Eighteen up! Make your plans—and don't let anything keep you from the June party.

Secretary, 910 Norris Bldg., Atlanta, Ga.
