Nelson M. Blake, son of our faithful first secretary, is teaching in the history department of Syracuse University, Syracuse, N. Y. His subjects are modern European history and historical method. He had an A.B. from Dartmouth in 1930, an M.A. from Brown in 1931, and a Ph.D. from Clark in 1936.
On January 7 George Farley was honored at the Union Agricultural meeting held at Worcester, Mass. He was presented with a gold medal by the State Department of Agriculture for his services to the youth of the Commonwealth. In addition to the medal he was presented with a bound volume which contained, as far as possible, the signatures of every boy and girl in club work in the state, and a volume containing personal letters from his many friends throughout the country. This was of the nature of a surprise to our classmate, an unusual honor but one that is well merited by years of faithful service to young people.
The Secretary received recently a long letter from Harry Clark, whose business address is now 49 Mountain Ave., Highland Falls, N. Y., and whose residence is at Chase City, Va. He is associated with John Gilman in engineering work. He and his wife and daughter Martha are well. His daughter is teaching at South Hill, Va.
The Secretary met our classmate of freshman days, P. J. Lucey, on the street, and he still has the same enthusiasm for '9B and Dartmouth that he had the freshman year. He is still employed as an important member of the Water Department, Holyoke, Mass.
Secretary, 57 Grove Hill Ave., Newtonville, Mass.
