THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Cleveland held its annual meeting for the election of officers on January 9, 1937. The following officers were elected at that time: president; Carl N. Holmes '16; Ist vice pres., E. L. McFalls '16; 2d vice pres., Elwood Fisher '21; secretary, Bruce W. Eaken '26; treasurer, A. R. Treadway '24.
On January 16 the Executive Committee for the following year was elected as follows: James Hamilton '22, E. J. Petrequin '25, Charles French '24, Jay C. White- hair '32.
The club is planning for a big year, and to date the regular weekly luncheons on Saturday noon have been very well attended. The 1936 football pictures were shown last Saturday, February 6, and the attendance mounted to about fifty. The question of having the Dartmouth Musical Clubs Concert in Cleveland this spring was discussed, and it was decided that Cleveland would cooperate in having the Clubs here April 7 for a Concert, followed by a dance. The exact place has not been decided, and the writer has been saddled with the job of taking care of the details of that.
Our new president is planning to have a speaker, movies, or a planned program for at least two luncheons each month during the year, and it is hoped that this will stimulate interest among the alumni.
As usual, we wish to extend an invitation to all alumni who should happen to be in Cleveland on any Saturday noon during the year, except during July and August, to attend our weekly luncheons at the Midday Club on the top floor of the Union Trust Building.
We are hoping to give you more news next month.
